Behind KOBERGS ApS is Joan Koberg — an experienced businesswoman with over 20 years of industry experience. The business started on February 2, 2000, the same day that Joan gave birth to her daughter, Victoria, while her then partner was riding out on the very first contract. Soon after, Joan was left alone with debt, a fledgling company and a young child. Instead of giving up, she chose to fight on. She knocked on doors in the scab towns, collected contracts one by one, and slowly both the trust of clients and the foundation of the company grew. The first customers recommended her further, and loyal employees came along.
What began with cleaning at bakers and butchers quickly evolved into scavenger cart cleaning on construction sites. The shed trucks were turned into large construction works and complete final cleanings of buildings before being handed over to the builder. With time also came the hiring of workmen, construction site services, demolition and much more. At the same time Joan looked after a full-time job at Region Hovedstaden for many years, while she quietly built up the company and secured her and her daughter's future. Today, KOBERGS ApS stands as a strong company with a solid reputation — borne out by Joan's willpower, persistence and vision.
